I am delighted to be a member of this group as its great to communicate so directly with people who are  members of or interested in our  WONDERFUL PROFESSION of hypnosis practitioner and believe it to be a human science (every person is different) and an artform (we help to create dreams in reality)

My name is Mena McLoughlin Aupy and I like to use both surnames because I live and work in Francophone countries and it is a way for cliients to understand straight away that I have a wee Irish accent when I speak in french and also Im very proud of my origins LOL

A bit of background info might be appropriate

I trained in hypnosis, hypnotherapy, hynoanalysis and counselling in the early nineties with the W.F.H. (WORLD FRDERATION OF HYPNOTHERAPISTS) founded in 1981 and B.A.Th.H.(BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF THERAPEUTICAL HYPNOTISTS) founded in 1951. I was asked by one of the original founder members, now in his seventies to translate and teach their courses in french for francophones, took up the challenge; (HE IS THE GUY WHO TRAINED PAUL MC KENNAS FIRST HYPNOSIS TEACHER FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW OF PAULS GREAT WORK  HIS NAME IS DAVID CANOVA a great teacher and master hypnotist )

 So I set up ASSOCIATION FRANCAISE des HYPNOTISTES THERAPEUTIQUES work in progress have most of the translating work finished and a french student of our future course involved with the process

i practice  Hypnosis wherever my life takes me. I had a practice here in France for a few years then I accompanied my wonderful husband Philippe to D.R.CONGO and had lots of clients from all walks of life  and nationalities from war refugees to diplomats and government representatives , United Nations and many NGOs, private entrepreneurs C.E.O.s children housewives hip hop artists etc etc

After a six year stay Im home for a while and love it; Im going out to Mali in the new year and intend to spend my time between france and Mali working in some capacity in both countries

In my life before hypnosis I was a teacher trained at Birmingham University and later trained in mentoring at ChristChurch Canterbury and taught in Ireland France UK and various locations in Africa

In fact I still consider myself a teacher/mentor only I teach something very important , like all of you brave souls out there ;I think we teach SELF EMPOWERMENT

Im off to Ireland to visit at the end of November and am looking forward to see my Mam, sisters, brothers, nephews nieces, cousins and old neighbours and friends and suspect Ill need a holiday after the weeks visit

I am a baby learner with computer technology and just writing this blog took me quite a bit of figuring out

However I am having a ball learning all about internet networking, marketing and publishing
